Remembrance Day 2014

Memorial Square Cenotaph at Brampton City Hall was the backdrop today for a beautiful Remembrance Day Memorial Service. Residents of Brampton gathered to honour our fallen soldiers, and we could not have asked for better weather on this day to honour our past, present and future veterans and those who stood proud before the cenotaph.

The cenotaph is inscribed with the words,

“To perpetuate the Memory of Our Glorious Dead and to Recognize Gratefully the Sacrifice of the Men and Women of Brampton Who Died in Battle and Those Who Have Since Passed On.”

Wreaths and poppies were hand delivered to the cenotaph by various divisions of the community, and following the exit of all those in uniform, attendees delivered their own poppies to the cenotaph in remembrance.

Thanks go out to the City of Brampton for organizing this beautiful memorial, to all those who came out to honour our soldiers, and of course, thank you to our veterans. Lest we forget.
