John grew up in Whitney Pier, Sydney, Nova Scotia, the eldest son of Jackie Dupe. His mother, Alice Christina (nee Brewer) Dupe. While on this earth, John’s spirit, his smile, his laughter, and honest nature, are missed. At his core, music was his language and, dancing was his jam. His simple pleasures; his RV, the star filled night skies, Terra Cotta, being out in nature, Christmas holidays, and holiday decorating. Employed with the City of Brampton for 47 years. After retirement John did volunteer work.

Proud to be a Cape Bretoner, a man with humility, style and a true gentleman. He loved family, above all, I dare say. This Silent Chief’s soul is free as the eagle spirit. His final words, “I am ready to go home. Thank you and I luv youze all.” We thank you, (Daddy) for being a blessing, in our lives.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Brampton Funeral Home and Cemetery, 10061 Chinguacousy Road  (at Bovaird) on Sunday May 15th, 2022 at 1PM with visitation one hour prior to the service.
