Day of Mourning 2015

The National Day of Mourning is a day to honour and remember the millions of workers whose lives have been impacted by fatality, injury or illness while on the job. On Tuesday, April 28th, 2015, CUPE Local 831 members joined with the PRLC and other dignitaries and unions for a memorial service in honour of these workers. The touching memorial service was followed by a slow-march processional around the Day of Mourning Monument in Brampton, where wreaths were laid in memory of the workers. CUPE 831 supports and encourages workplace safety all year round, and honours and remembers all of the lives lost to workplace-related accidents or illnesses.
